International TV/Films for USA Internet Download-to-Own Service for Portable Devices

Challenges: (i) Find the right top European independent programs (tv, short film, short format entertainment –including clips, comedy, made for mobile/internet, extreme sport, documentary, drama, branded programs etc) suitable for exhibition on a  pioneering new Internet delivered download service for transfer to portable music/movie player devices, in USA; (ii) Unravel the complex rights chain specific for new rights segment ‘’download to own’;’ (electronic sell through); (iii) Overcome suppliers' concerns about impacting DVD revenues, internet download services, security and commercial aspects; (iv) Explain, negotiate and close trial deals, pre commercial launch; (v) Refer and Select not only good programs but top European and some domestic (USA/Canada) partners for the new service with an eye to ongoing future relationships for the service.
